Dear New York Neighbor:
My name is Gary Berntsen, and I am seeking your support in my effort to unseat wayward Democratic Senator Chuck Schumer. I have no misconceptions about the enormity of the task ahead. I am confident that New Yorkers will respond with great enthusiasm to my message that it is time to “RIP” apart the business as usual approach coming out of Washington:
- Rein in the out-of-control spending habits of Senator Schumer and his peers and bring real tax relief to New York families who are working hard but being crushed by taxes
- Implement national security and foreign policy approaches that are in the best interest of America, rather than the current approach of apology and appeasement
- Preserve small businesses and the jobs they provide and provide an environment for large businesses to prosper and bring in new revenues
America is the greatest nation on earth, but we have strayed from our core principles to the detriment of our security. Today we are at great risk, personally and collectively, from economic threats and international volatility.
Senator Schumer has ignored these security threats for too long. It is time for him to go.
Sure, he starts off with $21 million in his coffers – a good chunk coming from special interests and Washington insiders. If he wastes these campaign dollars in the same way he has done with our hard-earned tax dollars, the task ahead may not be as daunting as it first appears. With you on my team, we are one important step closer to achieving the political upset of the year! Please sign up for our e-mail updates and consider sending me $50 to show Senator Schumer the door!
Warmest regards,

Gary Berntsen is GOP's Choice to Challenge Chuck Schumer
New York, NY - Gary Berntsen won 62% of the votes at the New York State Republican Convention in Manhattan. The retired CIA Officer has campaigned on a message of fiscal responsibility and refocused national and homeland security. Berntsen, a Smithtown, Long Island native, vowed to run a relentless ground campaign against the incumbent.
Berntsen said, "I will take the fight to senator Schumer in every city, town and village in this great state. This vote of confidence from my fellow Republicans proves that this Party is not afraid of Chuck Schumer, his bloated war chest, his Washington contacts or his crony special interests."
"There is room in our Grand Old Party for all kinds of New Yorkers and one group in particular has turned out on my behalf in a powerful way. The Tea Party groups of this state have embraced my message from day one and have pledged to continue in force to the November election," added Berntsen.
